Santa Teresita School would not be the great community that it is without the involvement of our incredible parents. Our parents are the driving force behind so many activities, events and fundraisers, and provide much-needed help in the classroom. We invite you to become more active in your child’s education and in the school community by getting involved in one of our parent groups. You will meet great people and have a great time in the process. We cannot express how grateful we are to our parent volunteers and leaders for their dedication, time and the sharing of their talents.
Please note that all volunteers must complete Live Scan Fingerprinting and Virtus training.

Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
The main functions of the Parent Teacher Organization are to promote parental support for the school program, to increase mutual understanding between school and parents, and to raise funds for the school’s operational expenses. The membership of the PTO includes the pastor, principal, faculty members and parents/legal guardians. PTO officers are elected each year. Participation from all parents at PTO meetings is welcomed. Meetings are posted on the school calendar.
Madrinas/Padrinos
Madrinas and Padrinos are parents who serve as the parent ambassadors of Santa Teresita School. They play a major role in marketing the school by spreading the word about the benefits of a Catholic education and about Santa Teresita School in their parish and throughout the community. They help to organize school events such as the Open House and New Parent Socials, give testimonial talks after Mass, and get involved in various outreach activities on behalf of the school. The Madrinas receive support from a field consultant for the Alliance for Catholic Education, Catholic School Advantage Campaign of the University of Notre Dame.
Room Parents
Santa Teresita is blessed to have a committed group of parent volunteers serve as room parents who assist the PTO Board to work with all grade levels to carry out parent activities.
Parents are also represented on the Development Board (fundraising) and Marketing Committee (to promote the school).
