In the summer of 2011, Santa Teresita School opened it’s first on-campus library. The new library is located in a bungalow the John Shea Family Foundation renovated with new roofing, lighting, carpeting and custom-designed shelving.
The Development Board raised $23,000 for the library. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Zieman provided all of the furnishings for the library as a gift to the school. Significant donations of books were received from The Molina Foundation, Jay and Sarah Walter, and the students of Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy. Mrs. Roberta Aguilar, an alumna of Santa Teresita School and an elementary school librarian, donated countless hours to organize the books.
Today, our school has a beautiful library stocked with wonderful books and laptop computers for student use. The library was blessed by Archbishop Jose Gomez during our Celebration of Gratitude which took place on March 28, 2012. We are grateful to the Shea Foundation and all who made it possible!
